If my machine is left idle for a time I am getting a
frustrating and intermittent failure which causes my mouse
to be inoperative and the arrow to disappear entailing a
shut down and restart. The following message heralds the
fault: The device driver for the 'Standard 101/102
Keyboard or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard' decice is
preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close
all applications and try again. If the problem persists
you may need to update the driver.

I have tried updating the driver but this is not
successful.

Help please!

Try this. Open Control Panel and select Power Options. Enter the following
settings and "Save as" a scheme (you name it).
Turn Off Monitor: 2 hours
Turn Off Hard Disks: Never
System Standby: Never
System Hibernates: Never

Thank you
