I deleted my system speakers, and want to get them back - HOW - i put in my
original windows CD and it tells me i have a newer version - i search MS and
find no help -HELP - Also prior to removing the system speakers i could not
get any sound from my pc - SPEAKERS WORK DRIVERS SAID TO BE WORKING - HELP
PLEASE
 
Should'nt have done that....If the audio runs from the MB,try downloading
the software/drivers from the board mfg web site.You might also chk device
mgr,expand sound tree,R.click on the hardware listed,select enable,do for
all sound hardware,do not restart pc till all have beed edited.If its a pci
sound
card,disconect the power when pc is off,move the card to another pci slot,xp
will reinstall....
 
The internal speaker of the PC (the little one which is used for System
Beeps?) or the larger ones that you normally use for playing sound from
CDs/DVDs/Internet???
 
XP does not like to normally have two sound cards active at the same
time. Your Intel sound card device "may" be on on-board (on the
motherbaord) sound card. You usually need to turn this off in order to
have the PCI sound card to work. You can turn off the Intel device
either in the Bios, Windows or by plugging the PCI sound card into a
PCI slot.
