system shutdown

has anyone gotten this error message:
system shutdown:
windows must now restart because the remote procedure call
(RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.

can anyone help?
windows shuts down after a 1 minute countdown and then
restarts.

I had this and if you go to windows update site it is

some thing to do with that virus that was circulating
