System Restore

I added a new drive to enable RAID 1 which worked well I also changed the
drives to Dynamic. I tried to access System Restore and it won't run.
Will system restore not run on a Raid Array?

In admin tools>services open the properites for system restore,now check to
make sure all of the dependant services are both set to automatic and they
are running.
