Is it possible to completely restore my computer to the day I bought it? I
am not interested in backing anything up. I basically want to dump
everything and start from scratch.

Not enough info in your post to answer that question. What type of system
is it? Did you purchase it with XP already installed, or did you install
XP? If the former, did the system come with a restore disk? If it did,
then you should be able to restore it by booting from the restore disk and
choosing the option to restore your PC. You should have received
documentation with your PC on how to do this. If you need help, post the
brand name and model of your PC along with when you bought it and folks here
may be able to help with the specifics.

I bought the Dell Dim 8200 with XP installed, I purchased it in April of 2002
I believe, otherwise 2003. For some reason I just dont think I had a
restoration disk. If I did, I dont know where it is now.

Yes.
Legally sold computers must have a way to be restored to their original
state. It will either have CDs provided or may have a hidden partition on
the hard drive that contains the files.

You can probably go to the web site of the place you purchased the computer
and from the model number look it up to see what that method is, or ask the
Support folks about it.

If it is that old, it should have shipped with a system recovery CD. See
the following article for steps on how to restore your PC with your recovery
CD:

I realize you've already mentioned that you don't know where your recovery
CD is. If you can't find it, you may be able to call Dell support and have
them send you one for a fee.

Newer models of Dell systems (after 2004) included the ability to restore
from a partition on the hard drive. If that option is on your PC, it is
accessed by rebooting the PC and pressing CTRL + F11 when the Dell boot
screen appears. The following article gives mor details on that:

Then, to put things bluntly: you're probably ****ed.
