System restore

I am running xp home and my "restore points" are not
remaining in the restore program. System Restore
is "on", and its capacity is maximum so I don't
understand why it's not keeping them in there. When I
create one, it seems to last for only a few days and then
it's gone. The system does not create a point whenever
updates are applied either. Any advice?

Hi Rick,

How big is the volume on which the service is running? If it's massive, SR
only has so much space available, and as the size of the backups increases,
the number of backups kept decreases.
