system restore

my system restore facility does not work. i cannot restore back to any points
created. creation dates still being generated and wizard goes through
process, but message to restart always says 'unable to restore to this date'.
i do not want to use recovery disc. any ideas.

YES INDEED! I gave up on RESTORE years ago. I disabled it to save
memory and I purchased GOBACK. You can get it cheap if you shop right,
and an older version is just as good as the latest-up-to-datest..

Everytime you boot, it sets up a Restore Point , Automatically. You
have nothing to do!! I've used Goback for years and when problems come
up, viruses, whatever, I simply GO BACK to any date I want to..

But I'll NEVER GOBACK to WIN XP RESTORE. It's STUPID

System restore works fine if you understand it's purpose, how it is
intended, and how to maintain it. Clearly you didn't. I wouldn't bother
with the Symantec product.
