System Restore

System restore does not work. I've done all the usual things - closed
down other programs, run diskfix etc. There is no help on "help". "Event
viewer" refers me to this forum.

Hi JD,

Go to Start - Run and paste the following command then press enter.

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

What exactly happens? Post any messages that appear.

system restore will require at least 200MB of
available space on your hardrive or on the system's
partition. even thogh it's installed but not activated.

I did at you requested in the run mode and it brought up my system restore
window. But that doesn't make my restore work properly.
