system restore

A few months back I finally had my computer working perfectly and as a
precautionary measure I saved my system restore settings in a folder in my
documents. Now my computer has gone completely wacko (every conceivable
hidden window opening up & mouse pointer running wild). The last restoration
date does not give me back the performance I once had. How do I restore my
system from the folder I created & saved the settings in.

You can't AFAIK - System Restore is not like a backup - it will only work
with the Restore files the system has itself created and from the original
location.
