How do I restore back to "factory" settings? I am using an e-machine with
Windows XP. I tried to restore, but would only get the option to go back to
June 2004. I need to go all the way back to 2002 when I set up my machine.

System Restore isn't for changing the "entire" system back to when you had it when you got it new. It will only make changes made recently, and max is 90 days. It has no effct on programs installed and stored data. If you're wanting to reinstall Windows through the factory settings, you'll have to refer to the manual you got with it, or the PC maker.
