Does System Restore delete all restore points ater the default interval (90
days), stored in the registry, expires? I lost all my restore points
recently and don't know why. I have plenty of disk storage available(40+GIGS)
and the setting is 12%, so there should be no problem there.

Any ideas?
thanks

Every time your system creates a restore point your oldest point is deleted.
If you have allowed 12% it will stay full and only delete files to make room
for
the next Restore point. You can delete all but the latest point under Disk
Cleanup.

I recently lost all my system restore points. I was going to restore my
computer but I didn't have any restore points. When my computer has been
saving restore points weekly for two years.

In addition, installing a Service Pack will also remove all restore points
except the one that is created as a backup for the the SP installation.
