system restore

windows restore will not work.will go through,but after it restarts it says error no changes have been made(also maybe is related my home page has been hijacked that is why i'm trying to do the restore)

Regarding your page being hijacked, you could try making a scan with
ad-aware and spybot and using CWShredder:
