LEONORE BLOSE

I have Windows XP Home-My System restore is not working. Any help to get
this going again without a complete Quick Restore with the disk will be
appreciated. I did have Go Back-but eliminated that for the System Restore.
There are so many of you out there that seem to be gurus on the computer
system that I hope one of you has a solution that an 82 year old can follow.
I need complete directions and then I can follow them. Thanks anyone who
can help-

It may be that one of your restore points got corrupted. You need to
turn system restore off, reboot, then turn system restore on, create a
restore point and test it.

Go to My Computer, righ-click, choose properties, go to the restore
system tab, click on 'Disable system restore in all drives.'

Reboot

Go to My Computer, right-click, choose properties, go to the restore
system tab, uncheck 'disable system restore in all drives.'

Reboot

Go to Start > Help and support > click on 'Undo changes done to your
system with System Restore (The wording might be a bit different as I
am not using Win XP in English right now)
On the next page, click on create a restore point, name it what you
want.

Then go the same route: start > help and support > click on 'Undo
changes done to your system with system restore' Click on 'Restore my
system to a prior state' and check if it works.

Good luck
