Had to use system restore because of a malware. When restore was done, I had
2 icons of most programs. Why? Any easy fix?

Dont know why, but just delete the duplicates. Make sure the one you
keep works first!

A strange one, because System Restore just resets to the last known good
configuration of the date chosen.. no files or programs should be
re-installed.. a repair install utilising the XP installation CD will always
re-install, but without changing user settings..
