Hello:
System restore keeps saying that my computer can not be restored (no matter
what date I try). Any suggestions? Is there a site where I can download it
from?
Thanks,

Download ? - System Restore functions like a "Snapshot" and each
restore point is dependant on the one before it to make a chain. If
the chain or points are invalid you have no options but to turn off SR,
reboot and re-enable. This will purge all the points and start over.

You may also want to check Services.Msc and make sure the SR
Service is started and set to Automatic.
Click Start, Run ( Type ) Services.Msc [Enter]

System Restore allocates a too large % of the total volume space.
SR would work ( be more reliable ) if you set it's space to something
more realistic for about 1-2 weeks of points.

SR control functions are available from System Properties. Either
Right Click My Computer and take Properties or access it from the
Control Panel ( Classic View ). Click the System Restore TAB.

Is reboot required ? I reset it regularly but without restart.

Can't say it's mandatory, as the points would be removed as soon
as the setting changes are applied. But as with any system function
that is toggled On/Off, I would think a reboot is in order.
