system restore points

Exactly how long do system restore points stay on XP? I
know they are not there for permanently. However, my
system restore points are not there the next day.
Yesterday, I had only seen a few. So, exactly how long do
they usually stay?

Mine go back to 27th August 2003
(all rather unpredictable, I suppose)
 
As I recall, there is a way to set the file size for system restore, so the
number of restore points saved will depend on what you set there, and that
in turn will be dependent on how much of your hard drive you want to
allocate to this. I would try looking in help to see what you can find
about settings for system restore. Sorry I can't be more precise, but it
has been several months since I last visited this issue.

'Control Panel' / 'System' icon / 'Restore' tab / 'Settings' button / slider
