Hi all,

I have a simple question....where does Windows XP save the System
restore points?

Thanks in advance!

In the "System Volume Information" folder if activated for that drive.
BTW, it's not a good idea to mess around with that folder.

I don't find the folder....I've searched for it with the search tool,
including the hidden files option.

The System restore is activated on that Drive though, I'm sure because
I just checked.

What's the exact path?

Thanks again

If SR was not activated for that drive, the "System Volume Information"
folder is present in the root directory anyway, however, it does not
contain any restore points. See in addition

"How to gain access to the System Volume Information folder"

Make sure you don't have Hide System Files and Folders checked or Hide
protected operating system files
