I created a new boot disk and copied all over to the new
disk using the new hard drives software. Now, my system
restore will not start on the new hard drive.

Delete the hidden folder "System Volume Information" and the tracking
log file in the folder and reboot. You'll have to remove the
attributes from this folder first and possibly the tracking log before
you can delete them. Also - you may get an "access denied" message
when you attempt to do anything to the folder.

If that happens, you must take ownership of the folder first before
you can change attributes and delete it.

Once the folder is deleted and you reboot, it will be created again
and then system restore should work on your new drive.
