System restore not working

Hi all,
Have tried to use it a few times recently but no joy, have selected numerous
restore points and when it has finished doing its thing I am told something
like no can do!
Any suggestions humbly accepted -:)

Turn off SR, [Winkey+Pause/Break] reboot and re enable it, see if you
can create a restore point .
