my system restore setting doesnt show 'c' drive at all, it shows 'd' drive as
my system drive. drive 'c' is on computer and working fine, it shows up in
the computer management folder as system drive. So when i try and restore
something it says that unable to restore 'c' drive settings as drive is
unavailable or switched off from restoring or words to that effect. have
tried switching off system restore and restarting, no effect
1. how can i 'reshow' c drive on system restore
2. can i then change it to be the system drive
thanks in advance

Hi

Make sure that the System Restore Service is running.

Try reinstalling System Restore. Open Windows Explorer and go to the
windows\inf folder. In the right hand pane find the sr.inf file, right
click on it and select Install.

How are both drives formatted? Have you recently upgraded to Windows XP?
