Hello,
After numerous ".exe Application Error" 's, a problem was discovered with a
bad Memory Module and replaced.
Now, system restore access thru Control Panel/System/System Restore,
results in 'An exception Error with RUNDLL', or thru H&S/System Restore
results in 'System Restore Applicaition has encountered a problem and needs
to close"

-- All updates current with XP, antivirus, spyware...etc.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Bert,

Thanks for your timely response. Sorry, didn't want to ramble but, I should
have included in my original thread that, My Computer/Properties/System
Restore, has same results of- DLL Error, "We need to close".

Hi,
Yes, I agree, a reinstall SHOULD fix it. Since the System Restore Tab in
System Properites is not accessable, How would one go about reinstalling?

Hi,

There are several issues here.

First follow these steps to remove malware and virus infection.

Now reinstall System Restore.

If the System Restore tab is still missing follow these instructions.

Hi,

All of the prevention measures of Issue 1 are and have been in place, Active
and updated.

SR Tab was never missing, file was corrupted from the Memory failure.

The location of the SR file was what I needed.

Thank you for your assistance. { ;=) }
