In the past week I've been getting a few (12 altogether) sr errors in my
event log. The specific error '0xC0000184' means "INVALID_DEVICE_STATE"
although I'm not sure if it's a software or IDE issue. I have seen no other
problems with the drive or anything else and I've checked the disk with
chkdsk /r and norton Disk Doctor. When it occurs, it deletes all my restore
points so I have to start it again manually. Anyone familiar with this problem?
"The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error '0xC0000184'
while processing the file 'XP (C).lnk' on the volume 'HarddiskVolume1'.
It has stopped monitoring the volume."
Other files besides the 'XP (C).lnk' were in the other event entries.
