System Restore comes up with blank window

After installing an application I had some problems so I used System Restore
to go back to the previous day. When I did this it created new problems so I
tried to undo the restore. When I did this it created even more problems so
I decided to go back a couple of days and try another restore. But this time
when I tried to bring up the restore points the System Restore window came up
blank.....nothing at all in the window. All I get is a blank window that has
the System Restore heading on it.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Your best option is to shut System Restore down and restart it again.
