I hope someone can help me with a couple of problems I'm having.
The first is that my system restore feature IS turned on, but
doesn't save any restore dates. Last week, I read of a bug and
tried their suggestion of disabling and then enabling it again
and then created a restore date, but that apparently didn't work
because when I just checked it, there are no dates to go back to.
The feature is turned on when I look in the control panel >
administrative tools > computer management and although I created
a restore point last week, I can't go back to September because
it's not showing any dates were created last month.
The second problem is I lost sound all of a sudden. No storms,
no software installed, no hardware change - it just stopped
working. I thought I probably needed a new sound card, which I
haven't had time to buy and swap out yet, but when I went to one
website that had music on it, I could hear the music. I just
can't hear anything played in Realplayer or Windows media player.
If anyone can give me some guidance here it would be very much
appreciated.
