System restore and Outlook

A short while ago after going to a 'dodgy' website I used 'System Restore' to
go back a few days.
Unfortunately during those few days I had set up a second identity in
Outlook Express (v6? not sure) and when the restore was done I had lost the
identity and all the new address book I had laboriously written.
When I tried to import my original address book it came in will all the
addresses of all the users, and I had another day's work deleting unwanted
addresses from the new book.
Any way to get aroun this? And any way to make sure that system restore
doesn't delete new info from Outlook Express? (Everything else and all files
were fine)

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup like

System Restore will restore all Windows components to the previous
restore point you specify. Outlook Express is part of Windows, so its
information will also be restored. You will have to backup any
information you want to keep. For how to backup Outlook Express
information, please check in one of the OE groups such as
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general OR
