hi there. hope someone out there can give me a bit of advice. i seem to be
having quite a bit of trouble with my internet at the moment and the way i
have been managing to fix it is by using system restore to take my pc back to
better times when the internet DID work. but yesterday i had the same
problem again and i went to system restore BUT all my restore points had been
deleted. Is there any way i can get these restore points back at all?

if anyone needs to know, my internet drops out when i use an FTP program and
other computers on my network(from the same router) are working absolutley
fine...
hope someone can help...PLEASE!!

thanks for your time

At first glance I'd say your C: drive is full. That would account for no
space for Internet cache files, thus the Internet problem, and, the lack
of restore points. XP will auto delete system restore points to free up
space on C:.

Hi Adam,

Once restore points are gone there's no way of getting them back.

There are several reasons the restore points can be missing. Let's take
a look at Event Viewer for any System Restore logs that may have been
created recently that may help us diagnosing the problem.

Go to Start - Run and type eventvwr.msc and press enter.
Click on System in the left pane.
Click the gray title "Source" at the top of the source name column in
the right pane to sort by source name, look for "sr" and "srservice".
Double click on each of these events, then click on the button below the
two arrows in the upper right corner. This will copy the event
information to the clipboard. Paste the information for each of the two
event here. There's no need to post duplicate Event ID's.

How do I use the Event Viewer to search for System Restore logs?
