I have a clock speed of 450MHz, 128 Meg of RAM, and I am
currently running Windows 95 on an older computer with
an "Authentic AMD" chip. Will Windows XP run with this
system? More generally, will Windows XP run in any
system in which Windows 95 will run?

Thank you.

That machine is drastically underpowered for Windows XP, and you won't be
happy with it. Don't go any higher than Windows 98 SE on this machine, and
wait until you get a new computer before going to Windows XP. The practical
minimum hardware requirements for running Windows XP and giving you decent
performance are a P-III or better; 256 MB of RAM or more, and one to three
GB of free space on your hard disk (i.e. a hard disk or primary partition of
7 to 10 GB at a minimum).
