System Recovery

I had to do a system recovery on my computer from a
recovery disk,now when it reboots up it says windows could
not start up because the following file is missing or
corrupt, please reinstall a copy of this file
<Windows root>\system32\hal.dll. were do I get it, My
computer came installed with windows xp home addition, any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Try doing the System Recovery again. It appears that there may have
been a problem with the first run.
