I am haveng a lot of trubles with my system windows xp pro sp2, would sytem
recovery solve all this problems?

1) i can not update my system, an error is found the update is not possible
to do

2) i can not install my new printer, when trying to start the software to
manage the printer through it, an error, is also found.

3) i have many software without path that i can not uninstall because they
are not found in windows uninstall

What of this problems could be solved with system recovery??

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Latina,

I doubt that System Restore would help much with any of those, but it
certainly can't hurt. There is a difference between System Restore and
System Recovery. The latter is a disk supplied by the manufacturer that
restores the machine to factory state, which means you would lose anything
that you currently have on the system. System Restore is found in the System
tools and restores the system to a prior day state.

I would instead try running "sfc /scannow" from a start/run box and allowing
this system tool to detect and replace any corrupted system files.
