System partition-changing

Using IBM Laptop with two partitions.
C: WinXP-FAT -System partition
G: WinXP-NTSF-Boot partition
Would like to delete C: and extend G: into free space.
If I make G: active partition would this allow me to
delete C:
Neither partition shows delete option highlighted at the
moment.
Thanks for your help.

You might be better using a 3rd party program for this, such Partition Magic:

You cannot delete a system partition.Your best bet is to use a third party software like partition majic.
