Hi All

I was upgrading MY XP Pro box yesterday to SP1 when we had a power flash and lost power

It was at the point where it had backed everything up and was installing the new files

Now, the machine boots to the logo screen, does some churning, then shuts down and restarts. It will do this repeatedly until the machine is shut down

Any ideas on how to recover from this? I've seen some articles that talk about booting into Windows. Right now, I can't get to that point

Same thing happened to me! I look forward to the answer to this one

Dick;
Reboot tapping F8 each Second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu.
Then use System Restore to a time before this started.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

Or reboot tapping F8.
This time choose "Last known good configuration"

If those both fail, perform a Repair Installation:
