I have a warning popping up causing spyware strike program site to appear,
how do we get rid of it?

Clean the system of Spyware/Malware... & then tighten up the Security
level of the PC. These pop-up warnings are Social Engineering, they are
themselves the threat, who then offer to remove them (For a fee).
Cleanup is well documented all over the web. First tools for your
arsenal are AdAware, Spybot for detection/removal. Then you need a
"Real-Time" monitoring/blocking application like MS Antispyware.
There are numerous free scanning tools on the web for both Virus &
Malware - however many detect but won't remove without a program
purchase. I would recommend you use TrendMicro's on-line tool as
it does a good job of identifying and removing threats from your PC.
Use House Call to start your cleanup:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
*Requires several ActiveX installs and full system scan can take 30+
minutes.

Sounds like it could be "Spy Sheriff". Google that term.
{Do not visit their site however}.

Many programmes designed to prevent this have failed to stop it.
Neither is Symantec anti virus any use currently.
Todays much hyped Windows Security Update out today may tackle this,
but not if you're clobbered already.

Clean up your computer. Start by running:

noahdfear's SmitFraud and SpyAxe removal tool -

References - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic36868.html
http://malwareremoval.com/plog/index.php?op=ViewArticle&articleId=48&blogId=3

Then continue with David Lipman's tool -
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/SmitFraud.exe

David's Instructions:
Execute SmitFraud.exe (Note: You must accept the default of C:\McAfee)
Choose Unzip
Choose Close

NOTE: You may have to disable your software firewall or allow WGET.EXE
to go through your firewall to enable WGET.EXE to download the needed
McAfee-related files.

Execute c:\mcafee\clean.bat (or Double-click on 'Clean Link' in c
\mcafee)

A final report in HTML format called C:\mcafee\ScanReport.HTML will be
generated. At the end of the scan, it will be displayed in your browser
(Opera, FireFox or Internet Explorer). It is suggested that you move
the report out of c:\mcafee before performing another scan.

Now continue with general malware cleanup:
