system.ini issues

I am having an issue with the boot process in XP Pro: In the boot up I get a message reporting that the "system.ini" is invalid and the system is booting to C:/windows/window

Any help would great...
 
paste whats in system.ini here so we know whats in it

type sysedit under run. go to system.ini. Then Edit/
select all in the menu, copy and paste it into an email.
 
Nope it isnt the system.ini thats the prob.

Yours is the same as mine.

Might be the boot.ini, which is in control panel
system/advanced/startup and recovery. The top
option. Click on Edit. And copy and paste whats there.

I have a feeling c:/windows/windows is in the boot.ini.

This is the normal boot.ini. Does yours look like this?
