when I try to use "System Information" I get an error" A network error occurred in connecting to Windows Management Insturmentation. Ensure that your network connection is functioning properly." I have tried the other solutions for other errors encountered using system information but none of them refer to a network error. This is a stand alone with everything for remote turned off. Any suggestions?

I hope that you did not turn off Remote Proceedure Call

(RPC)? This is a nessary service, Windows Management
Insturmetation (WMI) Is used for error reporting and is
dependant on RPC.

functions to access my computer remotely. thanks
I don't understand why I get a network error.
