Do you have network adapter?
If you do have it check IP address and set it from DHCP to static address.
Or you must have DHCP server running on network.

Does this helps?

I ve just starting testing an Image i've created. When i boot up the system,
after its been running for about 10 - 20 seconds, it hangs (a bit). When i
say a bit, i can still click on icons on the desktop, but i'm unable to get
the start menu to come up and if windows exploror's running, stops
responding. However after about a minute it all springs back into life ???
At is ok from then on ????

Thanks,

Keith

Slobodan's guess is right. In addition MS is tricking with the "feeled
boot time": the desktop is there but Windows is still booting on. So you
get the feeling of a faster boot but the system is still unsensitive to
user inputs. This is the same on XP Pro.
