Running XP Pro for 1 month, before that XP Home Edition and both give the
same error message in Adminstrative Alerts; My guess it it is hardware, but
i can't find anything substantial about it..
The message reads; The System failed to flush data to the transaction log
corruption may occur.. The message relates to ftdisk; whatever the hell that
means.. I experience no particular problem with HD or anything else hardware
related, but this 'warning' persists at least several times per day.. Anyone
understand this? Appreciate an expert opinion......Thank You.

An Update; So obvious I didn't catch it;.. This is related to my USB
external HD, not the internal anyway... Still have no idea why this message
comes-up..

This is just a drop in the bucket of what is available if
you Google for Ftdisk, and it is offered for what help it
might be to you:

By default, Diskperf installs the Disk Performance
Statistics Driver above the fault tolerant driver,
Ftdisk.sys, in the I/O Manager disk driver stack. To
determine if Ftdisk is started in your configuration, use
the Devices Control Panel.

Good luck!

Thank you, and unfortunately, this paragraph and others like it are a bit
outside my knowledge level, (as is most of what i have found regarding
this)...
