I am running XP on an MSI motherboard with built in LAN port. Whenever my PC
is hooked up to the network it randomly: blue screens, reboots, says no
bootable volume in c:, etc.
I had my boot sector rebuilt, since the crashing was corrupting the disk.
It will not crash if not hooked up to the network. This started as a once a
week event, and plumed into a once every 15 min event over the course of a
month. What could be causing this? It references either ".dll" or ".sys"
files when it crashes. SP2 update was a nightmare. No viruses present.
