System Crashes At Various Points

Hello.. I have a problem which I am not sure how to fix.
My computer crashes at various points. I could be playing a game. I could
be running a program such as a virus scanner or registry scanner. Or It
could be just sitting on and it crashes as if someone pulled the power plugg
out of the back of it.
I am not sure if I have problems with software or registry clutter or if the
problem is hardware. All hardware test have resulted in no shown problems

So if you have any other suggestions please help.

Thanks
Calvin

Hi Calvin,

Is there a blue screen error message? Or does it just freeze? Or does it
shut down?

The first indicates a problem that may be resolved by knowing the error
message. The latter two normally indicate a serious hardware issue, often
caused by overheating, and need to be addressed by a technician (unless you
have a bin of spare parts and don't mind digging into it yourself).

Any error messages?

I ran the Event Viewer...and I have noticed that an Error Event happens quite
often:

"The Ati HotKey Poller service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the Ati HotKey Poller service to
connect.
"
These Messages are in the Event Viewer

Not really sure what they mean, but I am going to do some research... if you
have any Ideas please feel free to share them.

Thanks

Probably not the issue. By error, I mean a blue screen. Do you get one? How
does it "crash"?

Hi,

Well, as mentioned earlier, freezing is often a sign of a failing or failed
component and needs to be replaced. On occasion, this can also be
video-related, so updating or reinstalling the drivers may help.
