I unchecked a couple things in the startup menu of msconfig...The next time
it started up, I checked the box not to show it again...Well, it keeps
coming up at startup...What could cause this?

Thanks for any info

Try this:
1. Restart the computer.
2. Close the System Configuration utility.
3. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then
press ENTER.
4. Click Enable All on the Startup tab.
5. Click the Services tab, and then verify that the Enable All check
box is not available. If this check box is available, click to select it.
6. Click OK, and then restart your computer.

I don't know if Kenrick Fu is playing with you or doesn't understand your
question. If the System Configuration Box keeps reappearing (on your desktop)
at every reboot
even though you put a check so it doesn't, here's the registry key (be
careful, back up the key if you're worried about it):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Delete this:
MSConfig"="C:\\WINDOWS\\PCHealth\\HelpCtr\\Binaries\\MSConfig.exe /auto

Let me know if this solves it.

If you open msconfig at all and close OK rather than cancel, it will put
the message up again (even if you have just been taking a look). After
checking the box, click Exit
