There are a few programs that I wanted to prevent running on start up. I
ran msconfig and under the start up tab I unchecked the programs.

Now when I start up my system a System Config utility dialog comes up
"Sys Config is in diagnostic or selective start up". How do I sys configs
to start up normal and not run the programs I unchecked. Any help
appreciated. Thanks.

Just click the do not show this message again box and hit
ok and it wont show you this box anymore.

Thanks to all who responded.

Check the box 'do not show again or run on startup' and click Exit.
That will retain the unchecked entries in it so you could easily
reinstate them, at no cost except a very small amount of space in the
registry
