system 32 error?? help!!

When I start up my machine an error message appears
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt ..... the system file is not suitable for
running MSDos and Microsoft Windows applications

can any one help please?? thankyou!!!!

and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate the application.

Error message when you install or start an MS-DOS or 16-bit Windows-based program

Replace the standard version of autoexec.nt/config.nt by copying a backup copy
located in %windir%\repair\ to %windir%\system32\
(NB: %windir% is typically C:\Windows)

Also can be caused by a Trojan installing a file windupdater.exe and

Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for the tip. Having just bought a brand new
machine I was pulling my hair out why I couldn't load my kids games, etc.
