I'm trying to run a Sysprep (shutdown / mini setup /
reseal) on a new IBM T-40 and its really slow. Eventually
I let it run overnight and it finally shutdown. Not sure
how long it ended up taking, but during the work day I let
it run for over an hour with nothing but an hourglass.
I've run Sysprep about a million times before on Dell
equipment with no problems. Shutdown usually happens
within a minute.

Anyone have any idea what may be causing this?

Thanks!

PMAC,

Can you post your sysprep.inf?

Sounds like you are having sysprep build the mass storage section into the sysprep.inf file. I ran that on an image I had made, and it took over an hour before I shaved it down to just the controllers I needed to use. If this is an image you are adding to, there might be a lot of installed controllers. If it is enabled, try removing that feature and running sysprep again. If it is very quick, you have your answer.
