I have XP Pro and System Restore does not work.
It is turned on and has 1500ish disk space allocated etc.
I can create a retsore point and then look and it is is
there. But when I reboot it is gone.

Any fix - patches - reg settings to check etc?
What is funny is I installed the same XP Pro
on my other computer for a test (I use XP home on it)
and the restore does work there.

I have a Gateway P3-20Gb HD, 512k Mem qand a promise 66
HD controller card that came with the Gateway.
Any help would sure be appreciated. Please I nned this.
We all nedd it. Pete Carr

Hello!
System Restore is automatically installed and configured on
Windows XP if your computer has at least 200MB of free disk
space after Windows XP is installed.Do you have that free
space?

Hopefully Kelly herself will chime in. She does have a tweak at line
13: Create System Restore Points.

You should have a second backup since sometimes Restore fails. Erdnt
is part of 575K freeware utility erunt.zip, really easy to use (saved
me once from a reinstall).
