I have a desktop computer and a laptop, both running Windows XP. Is
there a way to connect these two thru the USB port and use a program to
move files from one to the other? What equipment would I need and
software?

Thanks.

Use a 10/100 Ethernet Cable with Crossover to link your LT & PC, both
should have RJ45 Ethernet connections and using a crossover cable
means you don't need a router. Network setup wizard will walk you
through setting the PCs up to communicate and go on line. Better still
buy a router.

Try this for synchronisation

Very simple to use, no confusing "online/offline" files crap just
works.

I checked out other options and decided to go with Laplink. Looks easy
to use.

Thanks.
