synchronising sound and images

I have created a 12minute PP slidehow, synchronised
prefectly to a classical music track. However, the first
time it is opened in PowerPoint, the sound and images do
not synchronise and its awful. Once the machine has run
it through PowerPoint once, it kind of gets the idea and
the sound and images run perfectly together. How can I
get it to do this the first time round? I have tried this
on different machines and had the same result. I have
compressed all the images to reduce download time so
don't know what else to do.

What you are experiencing is powerpoints limited ability to keep everything in time.

When you view the presentation subsequent times, the data has been 'cached' by windows, so it's more reliable.

The best information I know of regarding the best things to do is at:

One quick trick is to convert a stereo audio track to mono (that's half as much data for powerpoint to process)
