Synch error

I am running office 2003, and I continue to get errors like the following:

I tried using the guide which is provided by the link, to no avail. Please
help.

Can you discontinue the use of sync and switch to the Cached Exchanged Mode?
This is a new feature in Outlook 2003. We used to have lots of sync issues
and have switched to using the Cached Exchange Mode with great success.

As far as I can tell, Cached mode _is_ Outlook 2003's version of sync.
