Hi all,

Is it possible to insert a symbol within a label caption?
as in...

Version 1.0.1 (copyright symbol from Wingdings) 2005 GNSED Inc

tia

The Goat Herder

Copy a symbol from the character map, which is probably located at Start >
Programs > Accessories > System Tools, and paste it into the label. You will
see keyboard shortctuts listed in the character map, such as Alt + 0169 to
produce the copyright symbol. © Use the numeric keypad only for the
numbers, with Num Lock on.

I should point out that not every character has an assigned keyboard
shortcut, and that the shortcut I mentioned is not a Wingdings character.
There is also within Character Map the Private Character Editor, but I am not
familiar with the details of that.

Thanks Bruce,

It worked, and I should have dug out my extended ASCII character codes chart
and tried it before I asked the dumb question...

Now you get an idea why I call myself the Goat Herder (circa 17th-century)

cheers!

Not unless the Font Style of ALL of the text in the label is
Wingdings.
What's wrong with the usual Copyright symbol © ?

As Caption write:
Version 1.0.1 (ALT 0169) 2005 GNSED

Where I have (ALT 0169) press and hold the ALT key and enter 0169 from
the number keypad.
