When I boot up my computer I get the following

Alert

Symantec Script Blocking has prevented a script action that could be harmful to you

Application: Wscript.ex
Source File: c:\progra
files\support.com\client\iserver\server.vb
Object: Window Script Host Shell Object
Method: ru

This comes up three times, and each time I have to say "OK" to continue.

Anyone know what this is

Are you running any antivirus software? I believe several viruses infect or
exploit Wscript.exe. If you are already running antivirus S/W try Anti
Spyware S/W like Spybot (free) or Pest Patrol.

Source File: c:\program
files\support.com\client\iserver\server.vbs

Is it possible that this is part of the support software added to your
computer by the PC manufacturer? Check the folder and other files in
that location. They may hold a clue about what this is for.

It's a Sony.

Thanks, David. I suspected that might be the case: a script from the
OEM's support software. I'm glad that you're familiar with the path.
That bit of info should put Mary's mind at ease.

I'm not certain, just offering it as a possibility. But this file is associated with Sony's.
