Symantec: Scan engine returned error 0x20000058

On 31 Oct, I recieved a load of pop-up's that Symantec had found
worms...I deleted everything everything in quarantine. Now I get this
message and I can't scan...I even deleted it and reinstalled the
program ... what happened? --George

sound like you deleted some dll files. I think if it was

me I would delete the norton. reboot and reload the xp
from the dos side to replace all the dll files then
reboot and reload the norton..
 
What are the dll files

I'm sux, I have read with the reponse of the error 0x20000058 with many thanks.
But I have trouble with the dll files. What are they? Where do they store in my HDD? Thanks.
