Hello,
I just bought a computer for my wife and I'm having
trouble installing XP.
Everything in the installation goes fine till It reaches
the "installation of windows". The error reads
"sxs.dll:syntax error in manifest or policy file
e:i386asms6000msftwindowscommoncontrolscontrols.man" on
line 0
Manifest Parse error

Invalid at top level of document.

Can someone please help, I've tried many times of
reinstalling and starting over. Thank you

"Manifest Parse Error" is indicative of a bad CD. Use the
original Windows XP installation CD. If you are using it,
then request a replacement.
